When I was in Seoul, my friend Geunzi brought me to visit a royal palace! Gyeongbokgung , is the main and largest palace of the "Five Grand Palaces" built by the Joseon Dynasty. Gyeongbokgung , translated in English, means " Palace of Shining Happiness ."   Directions: Take the subway to Gyeongbokgung Station and take Exit #5 .   The admission ticket is very cheap! If I remember correctly, I only paid 3000won! :D And you can spend 2-3hours walking around the palace. It's super duper huuuugeeeee~   There are also guided tours but that is a separate fee.       This is the Hyangwonjeong Pavilion ! It means, the "Pavilion of Far-Reaching Fragrance". It is just a small, 2-story hexagonal pavilion. The pavilion was constructed on an artificial island of a lake named Hyangwonji. If you're in Hongdae and love the company of cats, you've got to visit the Cat's Attic cafe!!! Just alight at Hongik University station and take Exit 9 . It would be just around 5 minutes walk away! This cafe is pretty famous so you can just try to ask around for directions! Koreans are friendly people! hehe.   You'll probably see this dirty-looking Garfield chilling near the entrance of the cafe. ^^      There are soooooo many cats there! With purchase of any drinks which would cost you around 8000won, you can enter the cafe and play with these kitties! You can also spend a small amount to get some cat food. This would be a good idea as some of the cats would only come to you when you have a treat in your hands. Hehe.   When you enter the cafe, the staff would explain to you about the rules there. Annyeong haseyo~! I just got back from Seoul a week ago. Been too busy so I haven't had the time to post about my trip! For the next few posts, it will all be dedicated to my experience in South Korea~ :D First of all, I would like to introduce you to the awesome guesthouse I stayed during my 7 days there!   Orange Guesthouse (Click on the link to visit their website!)   The exterior of the guesthouse says it all. It gives off a very homely feel!   The best thing is that it is so near to the shopping area in Hongdae. When you walk out to the main road, just turn right and continue walking and you will reach Hongik Uni. station. There's too much to shop there. XD   If you're looking for the guesthouse while walking along the main road, look for the Hyundai car dealer shop.
